Our History

Where do we start?

The Beginnings

Transformation Life Church (TLC) started organically in the autumn of 2019, out of Sheffield Community Church on, a growing multi-ethnic apostolic church with a vision for reaching people and turning them into fully devoted followers of Christ. The organic process of the beginnings and growth has been the living testimony of discipleship through relationship.

Miriam Mude had started discipling some ladies in Manchester in early 2019. In fact, it has been the vision of Faith Ministries UK (FMUK) to plant churches in ten major cities of the United Kingdom. So, when God led Miriam to disciple five ladies, we knew God was opening a door for ministry and an avenue for lives to be transformed. Thus, discipleship is the DNA of what TLC is and does as we strive to make disciples through relationships.

Prayer and fasting for the new plant became the order of the day for a greater part of the year 2019. Our annual Faith Conference served as a confirmation and a trigger for the senior leadership team to release the Mudes and a very small team to plant a new church in the city of Manchester on the 29th of September 2019.

The most incredible thing that confirmed to us that God was in this move was the manner in which we secured our place of worship. God worked through one of our ladies who managed to access a Roman Catholic chapel in a local school by God's grace. This is something unusual in Roman Catholic tradition to share their worship centres, but God granted us favour with them.

By the time we started there were 23 people attending including children. God began to stir up hunger for discipleship amongst men and Bright Mude started discipling three men. We also started a vibrant children's church which has grown onto the online children's church for the whole ministry.

Ministerial Relationships and Affiliations
From the onset, TLC was related to Salt and Light Ministries International and Faith Ministries UK, through its links with Momentum Sphere. TLC is committed to working with other churches in the city of Manchester and internationally, be it in city-wide prayer or global missional community activities that serve to extend the Kingdom of God and bless our city, nations.
We continue to look up to God for inspiration, revelation, wisdom and anointing to transform our city for the Kingdom of God with God's tender loving care here at TLC Manchester.
TLC continues to grow and prevail as a healthy church that is committed to ‘reaching people and turning them into fully devoted followers of Christ.’ That is our main thin

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of praise and worship, led by our worship team. We typically have 2 songs lasting approximately 11 minutes. After this we then share announcements, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church followed by our time of collection. After this sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible then follows by two songs lasting approximately 11 minutes. After this one of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. When the sermon is finished there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
